Going back for '03?
We didn't make it this year, but on a high note we went to Branson Missouri the following month. From what I heard, we didn't miss much at Laughlin for 03, seems the local law enforcement was out in high profile and being somewhat harrassing in nature. While many claim it was to reduce the violence that erupted with rival biker gangs, some of the stuff folks were getting pulled over for was truly a waste of time and did nothing but piss people off, if some of what I had read or heard of had happened to me I wouldn't return next year. Harrassment does more harm to an event of this magnitude than bikers getting into shootings in my eyes, we aren't afraid of getting involved in that sort of thing. Bullets don't scare us, at least they shouldn't...if we fear death that much we wouldn't be riding motorcycles in the first place!

Anyways I still plan on attending the 04 River Run, although I'm a bit leary about bringing my chopper down as I might get harrassed about some handlebar regulations that suddenly resurfaced after a 30-40 year hiatus. I'll also have to make sure I leave my tinted face shield at home too. For that matter, I might as well drive...less chances of a hassle without a bike!
